Attestation

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Pakistan, Vienna attests and legalises a variety of documents which are required to be used in Austria, Slovakia and Pakistan.

  • Requirements:

    • Personal Appearance
    • Original Passport and CNIC
    • Meldezettel (Domicile) and Austrian/Slovakian Resident Card
    • Photocopies of the above on A4 pages
    • Email/Letter of the host authorities demanding Character Certificate.

    Procedure:

    • Applicants of Punjab and Capital territory can apply for Character Certificate through Consular Section
    • Other Provinces Services are coming soon
    • A two week time is required before the digital Character Certificate is received by the Embassy which is printed and signed

Requirements:

  • Personal Appearance
  • Original Passport and CNIC
  • Meldezettel (Domicile) and Austrian/Slovakian Resident Card
  • Photocopies of the above on A4 pages

Attestation:

  • Original Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate (MRC) attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, and Austrian Embassy in Islamabad
  • Extract of Birth Certificate can be made on the basis of Original Document
Requirements:
  • Attestation of documents such as Power of Attorney, Special Power of Attorney, and Authority Letter should be signed by the executants personally in front of the Consular Officer.
  • The documents must be signed by two Pakistani resident witnesses (preferably CNIC signatures).
  • The executants must have original and photocopies of their documents:
    • Documents – Original and Copy duly signed by Witnesses (preferably typed in English or Urdu and must contain Name, CNIC, Address details of the attorney (to whom the power of attorney is Given)
    • Passport, CNIC/NICOP, or smart card in Original and its back-to-back colored copies on A4 Page
    • Colored copies of Witness CNIC/NICOP or Smart Card.
    • 02 passport size photograph of the executant (person giving the Power of Attorney)
  • For attestation of documents originating in Austria, attestation by the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria is a prerequisite
  • For attestation of documents originating in Slovakia, attestation by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic is a prerequisite…
  • For attestation of documents originating in Pakistan, attestation by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or its Camp Offices in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, or Peshawer is a pre-requisite
Procedure:
  • The applicant must visit the Consular Section of the Embassy of Pakistan, Vienna in person after fulfilling the requirements.
  • After verification of documents, a QR code will be given to the applicant which would take the applicant to an e-form,
  • After filling the form the documents are legalized by the Consular Officer/Head of Consular Section, is scanned, and uploaded to online portal.
  • Original legalized documents and confirmation receipt is handed over to the applicant.

The residents of Austria and Slovakia who cannot travel to Embassy for the purpose of Power of Attorney may use this online service for attestation of Power of Attorney.
